Chemical Ingredients:
Alcohol, Isopropyl: A very drying and irritating solvent and dehydrator that strips your skin's natural acid mantle, makin us more vulnerable to bacterica and molds. It is made of petroleum derivative. It may promote premature aging skin and brown spots.
Ammonium Laureth Sulfate/ Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate: They may be contaminated with nitrosamins which are carcinogenic. They are used in car washes as garage floor cleaners and engine degreasers and 90% of personal care products that foam.
Benzalkonium Chloride: Highly toxic, primary skin irritant. From Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Overexposure can cause irritation to the skin, throat, mucous membranes. Avoid direct contact. Symptoms: muscular paralysis, Low blood pressure, depression and weakness.
Butylated Hudroxyanisole/ Butylated Hydroxytoluene: Causes allergic contact dermatitis, contains toluene.
Cationic Surfactants: Cetalkonium Chloride/ Cetrimonium Chloride: These chemicals contain a quaternary ammonium group called "quats". These are used in hair conditioners they are used as softeners and anti-static agents. They are synthetic, irritating, allergenic and toxic.
Diazolidinyl urea: Causes severe eye irritation, irritation of mucous membranes, nose, eyes, and difficulty breathing.
Dimethicone: Silicone derived emollient.
DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (monoethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine): Used in cosmetics to adjust pH and used with many fatty acids to convert salt (sterate) which becomes the base for a cleanser. TEA causes allergic reactions including eye problems, dryness of hair and skin, and could be toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time. DEA based detergents resulted in a major increase in the incidence of liver and kidney cancer.
Distearate 150-PEG: Causes cancer and broad systemic effects through out body.
Fragrance: Could be any four thousand ingredients many toxic or carcinogenic that effect many different parts of the body that cause skin irritation and sensitivity. Symptoms reported to the FDA include headaches, allergic rashes, dizziness, vomiting, skin irritation. Clinical observation has shown fragrances can affect the central nervous system, causing irritability, depression, and hyperactivity.
